Greetings
At this age, changes in stool frequency can be consistent with normal infant gut development, but the combination of recent introduction or regular use of Nestle Nan Pro Excella-1 formula, increased fussiness, and disrupted sleep could point to infant constipation, infant dyschezia (learning to coordinate bowel movements), or mild formula sensitivity. For temporary at-home comfort, caregivers can try at least three safe options: gently moving the baby's legs in a bicycle motion, providing a warm bath to relax abdominal muscles, or performing a light tummy massage in clockwise circles.
Hello,
It is normal for infants to pass stools multiple times a day and some healthy infants may also go 4–5 days without passing stools, especially i
If your baby is active, feeding well, has no vomiting, and the abdomen is not distended, there is usually no cause for concern. However, if any of these symptoms are present, please consult your paediatrician for an examination.
Since you mentioned that your baby is receiving formula feeds as well, it is important to prepare the formula exactly as per the instructions on the packaging, as incorrect dilution can contribute to bowel issues.
As your baby’s weight gain is appropriate, you can continue exclusive breastfeeding if possible and consider discontinuing formula feeds.
It is normal only in some of the babies they have this constipation issue so you need to check if the baby is taking feeds well or not, passing gas or not so all these are present so nothing to worry
Hii
It is normal for a 2 month 20 day old infant to not pass stool for 2 days. If there are no danger signs( abdominal distention, not passing urine), then there is nothing to worry about. Baby might be having abdominal colic, making him fussy. If baby is not sleeping on bed, try contact napping.
