Can oral thrush treated with medication
Hello, I am a 28 year old mother of a 2 year old child. Recently there has been white ulcers in my child’s tongue and inner cheeks. I took him to the doctor and the doctor said its oral thrush. Can oral thrush treated with medication? What are the possible side effects?

Oral thrush is treated in babies by applying an anti fungal gel in the mouth. Consult a good paediatrician

hi.. oral thrush is caused by fungus and most often happens in babies and toddlers. Small amounts of candida fungus are already present on our mouth, digestive system and skin and the fungus and are kept in control by other bacteria. Certain conditions occur that disturb this balance - that is when the fungus grows and causes oral thrush. It can be treated with antifungal medications which will have been prescribed by the paediatrician and are absolutely safe. The following steps can be taken to prevent the reoccurrence of thrush in babies - practise good oral hygeine - limit the intake of sugary and yeast products
Next Steps
