Can it be cured permanently by surgery.
I am suffering from nasal obstruction for a year now. I have been diagnosed with DNS and polyp. I have been taking homeopathy medication but it doesn't work much on me although i am not willing to have such a long treatment. I AM CONFUSED THAT AFTER SURGERY WILL IT REOCCUR OR NOT. BUT PEOPLE SAY IT MAY OCCUR. SO SHOULD I GO FOR SURGERY OR NOT?

Surgery for DNS will correct the septal deviation and allow a roomy cavity that will relieve the nasal obstruction. Also, removal of the nasa polyp is also necessary as it is causing obstruction and contributing to your nasal obstruction. Yes recurrence of the polyp may be there (and may not occur) but recurrence can be delayed if you continue to take care and long term medication prescribed by your doctor. The side effects of these meds are minimal. All said, getting a surgery at this time is required because of the symptoms. The nasal obstruction will only increase with time. Please do not avoid the surgery at present thinking of recurrence in the future.
