Adult who have never been vaccinated against polio should get 3 doses of IPV: - Two doses separated by 1 to 2 months, and - A third dose 6 to 12 months after the second.
Next Steps
Three groups of adults are at higher risk and should consider polio vaccination in the following situations: *If You are traveling to a country where the risk of getting polio is greater. Ask your healthcare provider for specific information on whether you need to be vaccinated. *You are working in a laboratory and handling specimens that might contain polioviruses. *You are a healthcare worker treating patients who could have polio or have close contact with a person who could be infected with poliovirus.

In cases of missed vaccination, bcg can be given till one year of age & polio till five years. Since our govt. has rigorously done pulse polio programme which has made our country polio free, even not having a vaccine confers immunity against polio due to HERD immunity. Bcg has shown protective role against milliary tb & tb meningitis, esp in children.. Its role for protection against tb is very low & doesn't guarantee that the vaccinated individual will remain immune forever to the disease. Still I would suggest you to get your brother physically examined by a doctor for movement issue.

His present problem is not because of polio. As India is s polio free country. Moreover this disease attack young kids mostly upto 5 years of age. So rest assured. Since when is he having present problems. What are other symptoms that he is having. Do thyroid profile, vitD, B12, calcium, RA Factor, CRP, uric acid from some lab or consult online.
