I have sensitive skin. I don't really get pimples or acne. It only happens occasionally. From last week however I got these pimples/acne on my forehead. It wasn't this severe then, just progressed over the weekend. Now it has spread to my cheeks also. I started using Benzyl Peroxide 5% last night. Please suggest me if that'll work.

Heya...
Appears to be a monomorphic type of acne.
Perchance did you use a steroid based cream like Betnovate or some OTC Crema or product on your face prior to this eruption.
More detailed history needs to be taken before suggesting a clear action plan.
Yes Benzoyl Peroxide cream may help you in the interim.

Don't worry...you are suffering from seborrheic dermatitis causing this bumps... Specific medicine available for good control... Treatment depends on the severity..Do direct online consultation for detailed prescription
Have you applied anything over face before appearance of acne? Do you have dandruff?
Much more detailed medical history needs to be assessed before starting you on your personalised treatment
• This looks like acute inflammatory acne (mainly comedonal + papular acne), likely triggered suddenly (could be due to stress, hormonal fluctuation, skincare/hair products, or sweating)
• Forehead-dominant onset with spread suggests oil/occlusion-related flare
• Benzoyl peroxide can help, but since you have sensitive skin, 5% may be a bit strong initially and can cause irritation
Next Steps
• Continue treatment but with a gentle, structured approach suited for sensitive skin
• Avoid overuse of actives to prevent worsening irritation
• If not improving in 1–2 weeks or if worsening, I would suggest a proper consultation with me on Practo so I can customise treatment for your skin type and prevent marks/scarring
Helpful Tips / Words of Caution
• Start slow—over-treating can worsen acne in sensitive skin
• Avoid touching, picking, or scrubbing the area
• Keep hair away from forehead and avoid oily hair products
• Use mild skincare and maintain consistency rather than trying multiple things
• Expect mild initial flare/irritation with benzoyl peroxide—stop if severe burning or redness occurs
No need to worry.specific treatment is available.it depends on severity of the disease . Complete medical history is required..
Pls do online consultation with Dermatologist for detailed prescription & guidance.
