I had h pylori in May and was under treatment from 9th May to 19th May. I also had 2 mild dueodenal ulcers and was taking vonograss 20 along with the h pylori kit. Continue with Vonograss till June 10. Everything was back to normal till June 26. June 28th started feeling bloated ( had potatoes, mutton soup, mutton) . Feeling bloated ,( bubbly gut) since then. I took Ayurveda from 30th June to 5th July . Please suggest course of action

In India H. Pylori kit is recommended for 14days instead of 10days. In many patients 10days course work as well. Vonograss is latest medicine which is way too good in treating gastritis since past 2 years. Either continue vonograss or PPIs for a shorter duration. Or you can use oral suspension of antacids. More than medicine take care of food that you consume. Avoid oily, spicy foods and foods that are hard to digest . Ayurvedic herbal medicines sometimes contains heavy metals and high acidic materials. So if you are not gaining any benefit from it, better to avoid them.
Next Steps
eat fiber rich foods adequate hydration soft diet

After H. pylori treatment and duodenal ulcers, the stomach mucosa remains sensitive for several weeks beyond the antibiotic course. The heavy meal (mutton, soup, potatoes) on June 28 likely overloaded a still-healing gut, triggering the bloating and bubbly sensation. Ayurvedic preparations can also sometimes irritate a sensitive gut. The priority now is: (1) Restart a PPI or vonoprazan (Vonograss 20 mg) for 4 more weeks to ensure complete ulcer healing. (2) Eat a bland, light diet — avoid heavy meats, deep-fried food, and gas-producing foods (cabbage, beans, carbonated drinks) until symptoms settle. (3) Take a probiotic daily to restore gut flora disrupted by the H. pylori antibiotics. (4) Most importantly, get an H. pylori eradication test — either a stool antigen test or urea breath test — at least 4 weeks after stopping the antibiotic kit and 2 weeks after stopping the PPI, to confirm the bacteria has been cleared.
Next Steps
Restart a PPI for 4 weeks and get an H. pylori eradication test after that. Stick to light, home-cooked meals for now. Please consult me directly on Practo for a detailed evaluation.
