Management of carcinoma breast has changed a lot in the recent times.
It has moved from radical surgery to conservation surgery with additional radiotherapy and chemotherapy based on the reports. The treatment is based on the Er,Pr,Her2Neu and Ki67% status also.
Know the details and proceed. Meet a Surgical oncologist for further management if available

In case of breast cancer radical procedure is always better to remove cancer from body if patient allow with there comfort.
Radiotherapy requirment depand on histopathological report and intra-operative findings of patient.
Outcome is same for both breast conservation surgery and modified radical mastectomy. Radiation is must in conservation surgery and in mastectomy it will depends on other factors like positive lymph nodes, tumor size etc
Absolutely similar rates of success and recurrance after both lumpectomy or mastectomy. Go as per the patient preference. Although for stage 2 RT is required after lumpectomy but after mastectomy you can avoid RT. So that's one advantage of mastectomy. Although if in surgery, her axilla lymph nodes comes +, then RT is mandatory. So consult your Oncologist for a thorough discussion.
