Hi     Because u have tested posiive for BRCA 1, you have to screen for prostate cancer from the age of 40 years. Males can also have risk of prostate cancer for which they have to do self examination regularly and can go for clinical examination to an oncologist every 6 months . For females, if they have completed their family planning, they  can undergo prophylactic bilateral mastectomy and also bilateral salpingo oopherectomy to reduce risk of  breast and ovarian cancer. If family has not been completed or if they don't prefer going for surgery , they may undergo screening tests for breast cancer with MRi and mammogram alternatively every 6 months. For ovarian.cancer there are no perfect screening tests but one may go with CA 125 every 6 months and yearly TVUS of pelvis to look for ovaries
