I m 27 year old guy and I have an open bite problem my two lower wisdom teeth were already extracted.can I go for a braces treatment, docter told me that my four teeth will be removed
Is this the right way of treatment if my four teeth get remove only 26 teeth will left in my mouth.

Best to get it assessed clinically.orthodontic treatment is the best thing to get done.as for extraction of 4 of your teeth,best to judge clinically.dont worry if only 26 teeth are left.most people do not even have their wisdom teeth at all so that makes it 28.even then there might be crowding necessitating extraction of a couple of teeth, may be 1 to 4.so go ahead .Take expert clinical opinion.

No problem dear,ur orthodontist must have elaborated everything and anyway wisdom teeth are vestigeal part of body and always needs to be extracted when pain, second thing is when u have an open bite problem or overcrowding of teeth and wants to undergo an orthodontic treatment,space is needed to get all the teeth in alignment,so don't get panic what ur dentist saying is absolutely ok.

yes ofcourse u can go fr braces...extraction is necessary as space will be needed once ur teeth is pushed backwards...wisdom teeth r considered vestigeal in owr body...even if its removed dere is no problem as dey dont interfere in mastication

Yes you can go for orthodontic treatment at this age also although the duration will be slightly longer because the density of the bone increases with age. Extraction is planned according to the case when there is no enough space to move the teeth in to alignment. Please trust the opinion of the dentist who has performed the clinical evaluation and arch analysis.
