Bone loss in tooth
Dentist said I have bone loss on my second molar. I have severe pain on that tooth which is throbbing all the time. It gets worse when I lay down. Why does pain increases when I lay down? The second molar gum is very swollen and dentist said I can get SRP. Whether the bone will grow again in that spot? How to recover from bone loss? Does this tooth need to be extracted?

First of all , get scaling done . It will help to visualise the affected area more clearly . Bone growth depends upon factors like, how well you keep your oral hygiene clean, if you have any systemic issues. Extracting it won't be a wise decision, it is healthy enough to save .
Next Steps
Visit a dentist and get a thorough examination done .

Hi. When you lie down the blood pressure in the head and neck region increases there by your experiencing pain . Scaling and root planing can be done. If there is severely bone loss ,bone grafting can be done. Extraction is not the wise decision
