Weakness plus excessive thirst for 2 days, with a hot head but no fever on the thermometer and normal BP and SpO2 - the first two things I want to exclude at 23 are new-onset diabetes and simple dehydration/heat exhaustion. Anaemia and a very early viral illness also present exactly like this. Excessive thirst with frequent urination is the combination that makes me push for a sugar test the same day.
Next Steps
Get a random blood sugar today, plus fasting sugar with HbA1c, CBC and urine routine tomorrow morning. Until then drink 3-4 litres of water with ORS or lemon-salt-sugar water, eat properly and avoid working in the heat. Go to a hospital immediately if you get vomiting, deep rapid breathing, fruity breath, drowsiness, or you are urinating large volumes and losing weight fast. Send me the reports on a Practo consult and I will tell you exactly what is going on.
