BMI 26.1, am I too overweight?
Hello. I am a 27 year old women, my height is 5'2'' and weight is 64 kg. My BMI is 26.1. But I dont appear that heavy as I actually am. Am I too overweight as per my age and height? What should be my ideal weight? Thanks in advance.

Pre obese cat . It can be controlled now. Get your other tests also done including thyroid and other hormones , otherwise all efforts of loosing weight may not be useful .

You come under pre obese category according to BMI for Asians BMI alone may not be sufficient, measure waist to hip ratio, it should be less than 0.85 in females

Lose 7 to 8 kgs Aerobic exercises atleast 150 minutes per week Eat healthy, eat lesser saturated fats like butter, ghee, animal fats Eat more proteins and dietary fibres You can follow intermittent fasting to help you lose weight

As per guidelines for India yes you are obese grade-1. Ideal BMI should be below 23.

As per height it is overweight For your height ideally around 50 to 55 is good Start doing Physical exercise Avoid junk food

You are very young...You can reduce that by doing regular physical exercise for 40 minutes and by controlling your diet.. so nothing to panic ok. Calories should be reduced.
