Most parameters in the report are normal including thyroid, cholesterol, kidney function, liver enzymes and HbA1c. However, there are a few abnormalities that need attention: • Vitamin B12: 105 pg/ml – this indicates Vitamin B12 deficiency. • Vitamin D: ~10.9 ng/ml – this indicates Vitamin D deficiency. • Hemoglobin: 10.6 g/dL – this suggests mild anemia, which is likely related to low iron or B12. • Serum iron: ~32.7 µg/dl – this is low, suggesting iron deficiency. These deficiencies are quite common and usually improve well with supplementation.
Next Steps
For Vitamin D deficiency: • Take Cholecalciferol 60,000 IU once weekly for 8 weeks, then once monthly for 3–4 months. For Vitamin B12 deficiency: • Take **Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg once daily for 2–3 months. For iron deficiency anemia: • Take **Ferrous Ascorbate tablet once daily after meals for about 3 months (if tolerated). After about 8–12 weeks, it is advisable to repeat Complete Blood Count, Vitamin B12 Test, Vitamin D Test, and Iron Studies to confirm improvement.
Health Tips
• Increase iron-rich foods such as spinach, beetroot, dates, jaggery, pomegranate, lentils, eggs and lean meat. • For better iron absorption, take vitamin C foods (lemon, orange) with meals. • Get 20–30 minutes of sunlight daily to support Vitamin D levels. • Include milk, eggs, fish, and dairy products regularly to improve Vitamin B12 levels. • Avoid taking tea or coffee immediately after meals, as it reduces iron absorption. These deficiencies are generally easy to correct with proper supplements and diet. If you want, you can book an online consultation and share your detailed reports and symptoms so I can guide you with a personalized treatment plan and follow-up.
