Hi Well done on picking up the issue. As you say, there is some concerns about the babies health. Babies should not struggle to feed and should not pass blood in stool. One of common causes is Milk allergy. And as you said she is being breast fed, they can still have it when u drink cows milk or consume dairy products. If the child has fever , then it's an emergency. Please see you pediatrician and ask them to rule out milk allergy , infections by doing stool test ..remember even in breast feeding they can have cows milk allergy Regards Dr siddarth warad Dr BEAR clinic

Is the baby formula fed or breast fed? Formula can cause reddish stools which are not an issue. Please do stool routine test to find out if it's really blood. Blood in stools needs treatment. Please visit a pediatrician today..
