I have a 3.5 month old baby. At night she usually sleeps at 8pm and she wake in the morning only. In between I will feed her very 3 hrs. In long time she will not pass urine for 5-6hrs is this normal? But day time she will frequently passing urine many time.8pm to 6am she will pass only 2 time is this normal
At 3.5 months, 5 to 6 hours without a wet diaper overnight is usually normal. She isn't feeding during that stretch, so her body simply makes less urine then. Her frequent daytime wet diapers are actually the better sign that she's getting enough fluids.
Next Steps
Keep an eye on her daytime wet diaper count, since that's the more reliable hydration check. If she has fewer than about 5 to 6 wet diapers in a full 24 hours, bring it up with her paediatrician. Dark or strong smelling urine is also worth mentioning at her next visit.
Health Tips
See her paediatrician the same day if she develops a fever, seems unusually drowsy or fussy, or goes more than 8 hours without any urine even while awake.
