In Genetically Predisposed individuals sudden change of temperature causes immunologic injuries, these immunologic injuries causes abnormal behavior of ones immune system, Some time hyper another time hypo immune system, in hyper state of immune system no of substances cause immune (antigen antibody) reactions, these substances otherwise in normal living beings are making no such reactions. Due to these reactions inflammation causes narrowness of air passage and thus difficulty in breathing.
Health Tips
How Thermal injuries occurs: In extreme cold weather there are chances of frostbite, thermal injuries leading to influenza (cold cough fever) and in extreme hot weather there are chances of heat stroke Dehydration. Usually we know well to protect us from from extreme cold weather but over  protection may lead to other types of immunological thermal injuries. For example suppose temperature of water in overhead tank is 4 degree Celsius chilled and we can not bath or drink chilled water than we will start heating and sooner it will become warm at 40 degree Celsius or more. Now we will start bathing at this temperature of water in chilled air. Temperature difference between bathroom air and water goes beyond 20 degree Celsius (up to 40 degree Celsius). This difference between bathroom air and bathing water temperature of more than 20 degrees Celsius causes other type of thermal injuries leading to Allergies and infection due to breach in immunity. In cold weather if we have chilled water and we can not bath with chilled water then better to make it less chilled not too hot ( From 4 Degree Celsius change it 24 or 28 Degree Celsius not 40 or 45 Degree Celsius) Also in hot weather we should avoid chilled water for drinking & Bathing. We should avoid chilled food also to maintain the integrity of immune system

Hi there I understand your concern and anxiety....Drink plenty of fluids, such as water or juice. This will help dilute mucous secretions and promote drainage. Avoid beverages that contain caffeine or alcohol, as they can be dehydrating. Drinking alcohol can also worsen the swelling of the lining of the sinuses and nose. Moisten your sinus cavities. Drape a towel over your head as you breathe in the vapor from a bowl of hot water. Keep the vapor directed toward your face. Or take a hot shower, breathing in the warm, moist air. This will help ease pain and help mucus drain. Apply warm compresses to your face. Place warm, damp towels around your nose, cheeks and eyes to ease facial pain...Consult nearest ent surgeon they will do the needful.
