Gums bleeding for nearly 11 years, initially only during brushing, now also overnight and randomly during the day. Once bleeding starts, it takes time to stop (doesn't happen with cuts or bleeding elsewhere in the body). Chest clear. Throat clear. Slight gum inflammation but no bone loss in panoramic dental x-ray. A few gum pockets, all less than 1mm, treated by deep scaling every six months. Not on any medication. Apart from common cold and indigestion, no health problems in the last 4 years.

If the bone levels are fine and you are getting your scaling done every six months, the bleeding could be happening coz of your brushing habit
Start using a soft tooth paste and brush twice.
The teeth should be brushed gently.
Also use Tan-X gum paint two times before brushing your teeth for about 15 days.
Direction to use: Take a small amount of the gum paint on your finger apply and massage your gums for 2 mins. Then brush your teeth with your regular brush and paste, this will help rinse away the gum paint too.
If the problem persists an in-person check up may be required.
