Yes it is normal. Follow your dentists instructions and visit them for a normal checkup after 4 days without fail. Avoid using self made remedies.

Generally , bleeding stops within a few minutes, as soon as the clot is formed . Bleeding beyond 2 hours should not be taken casually and reason for this prolongation is most likely the failure of clot formation . You must have been given post extraction instructions by the dentist , failure of following which ,causes the prolonged bleeding as the clot gets dislodged when instructions are not followed properly. You must visit the dentist as soon as possible to get a thorough examination done .
Next Steps
Visit a dentist as soon as possible and get a correct diagnosis done.

Hello , Greetings. After tooth extraction, it is normal for the area to bleed, generally the clot is formed within a few minutes. It is abnormal if bleeding continues without clot formation, beyond 8 to 12 hours and you may then have to consult your dentist. However, if the tooth was removed surgically and there's a deep incision and stitches, it can take longer. So do not worry and just observe the wound for few more hours.
Next Steps
Meanwhile, Use a sterile gauze or cotton to gently press on the wound until bleeding stops.Elevate (raise) the affected part, if possible. Eating ice-cream tops the list post extraction so you try that as cold compression also helps in clot formation..
Health Tips
Please observe for upto 8 hours, small trickles of blood in saliva is normal. If bleeding is worrisome consult your nearest dental surgeon.
