Black triangles
I have braces and my treatment is about to end. I have noticed black triangles in between 3 lower teeth. It is not visible wen i talk. My doctor says it is up to me to close the gaps by cutting the teeth or leave the gaps ie black triangles as it is. I am confused wat to do. Will there be any problems after cutting? My doctor says it's ok to leave the gaps as it is. Will there be problems in future if I don't cut now and leave the space? If yes then wat problems will i face after braces are removed. Wat do u recommend i should do?

Gapping must be closed otherwise it cause food lodgement in that area which further leads to dental decay.

It's not ok to leave the gaps as such. Do take a OPG x-ray and check for allignment of teeth, if it's already upright then u can go in for mild proximal reduction or if not the brackets can be repositioned to close the gaps(which may increase the treatment duration a bit longer). If the gap is less than 1-2mm, then u can try a gingival surgery which can restore the gingival height rather than going for a proximal reduction.
Next Steps
Take a OPG X-ray immediately
