These medications do not cause black stools. There may be numerous possible causes of black stools. Please try to differentiate If the stools are greenish or jet black with black staining of fingers or tissue after defecation.

Next Steps

stool for occult blood, routine microscopy, ova cyst etc may ne tested. other tests like endoscopy etc may be required during the evaluation of the problem if required.
