Black stool
I am 25F. I have had dyspepsia in the past. Few days back, I had light stomach pain when I had outside food. But, then one day after eating ghar ka khana only, I pooped 3-4 times. After that, now I am constipated, feel full after eating some food only. I drank Beetroot juice yesterday and made part black and yellow faeces. Should I be concerned? I was giving time for my stomach to heal on its own, while I have ligher foods.

Your symptoms suggest functional dyspepsia or mild gastritis, likely triggered by outside food. The blackish stool after beetroot juice is most probably due to the beetroot pigment — not internal bleeding — so don’t worry. Feeling full and constipated can occur after a brief gut upset (post-infectious dysmotility). For now: Continue light, bland food (khichdi, curd, soups). Avoid spicy, oily, and outside meals. Stay well-hydrated and add Isabgol or soft stool-forming fibre at night. If bloating or fullness persists beyond 3–5 days, a short course of PPI (like Pantoprazole 40 mg once daily before breakfast) and prokinetic (like Domperidone) helps restore digestion. If symptoms continue or worsen, I can assess you personally and tailor the treatment precisely.
