From the above description I can gather the following - you had mild abdominal discomfort for which you underwent and upper gastrointestinal endoscopy which showed mild gastritis and a Colonoscopy which showed Erosive ileitis the biopsy of which is negative. You are also experiencing black stools and sour taste with indigestion. The cause for the Black stools might be an upper gastrointestinal bleeding or it could also be caused by some of the medications that you might be taking. The same goes with the indigestion and altered taste sensation .. I would like to ask you a few more questions to determine the exact chronology of the events and I would like to look at the biopsy reports with the endoscopy and colonoscopy  photographs to arrive at an  exact diagnosis. Please consult me once so that we can n formulate the correct treatment. Regards Dr.Harsha.N MBBS,MS ( Consultant General Surgeon, Gastrointestinal Surgeon) Bangalore
