Pigmentation of gum on your upper teeth is quite normal. It happens due to the deposition of melanin pigment, which is nothing to worry about. Scaling is used for cleaning of teeth surface and not gums. If you feel that your gums are visible while smiling, you can go for depigmentation of gums via laser.
Next Steps
Next step can be Laser gingival depigmentation which can only be done after your visit to your nearby dental clinic.
