Sir, in ocd I get obscene image thoughts about my mother in my mind, and I was taking Fluni 60 mg for it. Now it is not available, so I am taking Fludac 60 mg. Is this the right medicine?

Unwanted obscene intrusive thoughts can occur in OCD . Flunil 60 mg and Fludac 60 mg both contain Fluoxetine, so they are generally similar medicines.

These kind of intrusive obscene thoughts can occur in OCD and they are usually ego-dystonic, meaning the person does not want them and feels distressed by them. Fluoxetine is commonly used for OCD, and both Fluni 60 mg and Fludac 60 mg contain the same medicine (fluoxetine). So if the dose is same, Fludac 60 mg can generally be used as an alternative. However, improvement in OCD also depends on regular treatment, CBT/ERP therapy, sleep, stress control, and sometimes dose adjustment by a psychiatrist. Do not stop or change medicines suddenly on your own.
