Your baby has 25 percent chance of getting thalassemia major. CVS test is the best way to detect it's presence and if things get delayed somehow, amniocentesis is another option.

Since both of you are carriers there is high chance of the fetus having beta thal major or trait. So once you get the CVS done consult a fetal medicine expert.
Indian population is at high risk for thalassemia disorders and screening should be preconceptions ideally. In your case you should proceed for genetic testing of the fetus by CVS or Amnio to detect thalassemia. Consult a fetal medicine specialist for the same
Hi
Since both of you are carrier of the gene, there is 25% chance that fetus may have thalassemia major, which is very troublesome.
But look on the other side of the coin 50% chance that it can be a carrier like you or 25% chance that it can be normal.
CVS is best way to detect.
And based on the report take a wise decision
This need for CVS will be there in every pregnancy
All the best
After cvs report
Kindly consult a fetal medicine expert
If the baby has chances of thalassaemia major than options like blood transfusions should be discussed
