Insomnia can occur due to multiple problems such as stress, any substance use, mood disorder. And also some medical problems. And also can be treated with lifestyle modifications, medications etc. Try following sleep hygiene. Go to bed at particular time I. E. Make a fixed schedule. No substance use. No tea or coffee after 5pm in evening. No TV, Mobile phone or any gadgets before going to bed. Switch off lights.breathing exercises

Hello, Insomnia can be caused due to number of reasons. Any recent illness you had? Stress? Daytime sleepiness? running thoughts all the time? etc. Its better to get treated before it worsens.

Meanwhile you can try these measures at home- Go to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning, including on the weekends. Bed is only to sleep do not read book or use phone on bed. Make sure your bedroom is quiet, dark, relaxing, and at a comfortable temperature. Remove electronic devices, such as TVs, computers, and smart phones, from the bedroom. Avoid large meals, caffeine, smoking and alcohol before bedtime.
