My son is suffering from back pain since more than a year around spine specially in waist. From 6 months he is taking medicines of vitamin d and calcium but it is not effective as the pain still continues. It becomes too difficult for him to sleep or sit straight or stand for few minutes. He always needs some support.
My query is to which type of doctor i should consulted with like neurologist or physiologist as i have already consult with bone specialist.

Hello,
I understand your concern.
Backache may be due to some injury, some nerve compression ( which is difficult in his age), some back muscle spasm, due to heavy lifting, any deficiency.
Calcium and vitamins are supplements and not analgesics.
It takes time to act.
Next Steps
Get an X-RAY done of lumbar spine - AP & Lat view.
Check for his calcium and Vitamin D and B12 levels again.
Check for CBC.
Health Tips
Prefer flat surface for sleeping.
Follow back exercises.
Have milk and milk products in your diet.
Have protein diet but not external supplements.
I would also suggest you to go for homoeopathic treatment along with calcium and Vitamin supplements.
For homoeopathic treatment, it is necessary to have complete case history.

Dr. Prajakta Ghare
If he is experiencing pain only on movement or certain posture then it can be muscular pain. You can consult a neurologist for this. He will advice if physiotherapy is needed or not.
First step is to get basic tests like x ray to be done t ascertain the cause. Xray (LS Spine AP & Lateral View) may reflect if there is any defect in the spine & if there is ... then further investigations may be done.
Next Steps
Hot fomentation
Health Tips
Avoid bending forward, jerky movements & lifting heavy weights
First you should go for MRI spine because you are telling severe pain and difficulty in movements.
Then consult neurologist and accordingly go for physiotherapy or ayurvedic panchkarma therapy.
