Back pain problem
Recently had MRI and following are impression on it, disc desiccation with diffuse posterior annular bulge and left subartulicular disc protrusion L5-S1 level causes anterior thecal sac indentation and left recess left neural foraminal narrowing with abutment of left traversing / exiting nerve root , Can someone explain what it is said ??? Is it anything serious ??? And provide treatment option for this , currently facing back pain

MRI report is suggesting about disc bulge severity of which is assessed both clinically ( like you have back pain but not going to the legs ) and from MRI image(not available) . So currently good thing is you have only back pain so take 2 weeks of Rest( not doing exercises)

After 2 weeks when you start feeling better with no back pain, start back strengthening exercises regularly to avoid future disc problems.

Hie . Report says one disc (disc space l5-s1) is protruding posteriorly and impinging on nerve . Thecal sac indentation causes back pain while foraminal narrowing causes pain radiating from back to right/ left lower limb (sciatic pain - current shock like pain) . Severity of problem depends on severity of compression. Mild to moderate compression can be treated conservatively with medicines and physiotherapy. Severe compression may need surgical intervention . In your query , it’s not mentioned about severity of compression.. mri films will throw light on the compression severity .

Mild to moderate compression: medical management with Physiotherapy Severe compression: patient examination followed by decision on whether surgery is needed or not .
