Hello Sir, As your History is concerned, You have this Problem from many years, You also have taken treatment from various places, In your case you didn't feel better with various treatment, that means the main cause of your problem is still unknown (it's not only slip disc that is bothering you), You will have to make proper assessment to know the exact cause (which is just not slip disc) and after the main root cause is diagnosed, depending on that the treatment protocol could be made to make u feel better, and as your occupation is also taken into consideration,  it may have a chance that your pain and problem would have increased till now. You will have to see a Physiotherapist soon !

Slip disc, disc bulge, disc prolapse, sciatica all these will have a treatment course, depend on the condition of pain and person with any history of diabetic or hospitalization will take time. Some takes 10-15 days and some may take upto one month to get rid of back pain. Through physiotherapy and medicines if diagnosed properly and tsken treatment with an expert, you can also get relieved from the pain. As mentioned your height and weight  you need to reduce upto 7kgs and as you are diabetic it take 25 sessions of electro therapy to completely reduce back pain. Kindly visit experienced physiotherapist for treatment. Also you will be adviced for some exercises to be done at home after starting of treatment.

Muscular imbalances due to improper postures is one of the most common causative factors in back issues (slip disc in your terms), bony changes are structural changes which cannot be reversed as it's a natural degenerative process which every human body goes through but, you can any day approach a physio , get yourself assessed and treated by manual therapy followed a good exercise routine in rehabilitation phase so that your weaker muscles get strengthened and are endurant enough to keep you in good form throughout the rest of your life.
Next Steps
You may approach me for a Teleconsultation and I can guide you accordingly
Health Tips
keep yourself well hydrated and do not sit/stand in any one position for prolonged minutes as it will provoke your symptoms

Yes as mentioned previously, you need a proper assessment and individualized treatment. There will be occasions of stiffness but if you are given home exercises and have a regular follow up with physiotherapist occasionally after initial treatment, then you would be able to manage the backpain well.
