Hello.. Muscular spasm is an involuntary contraction of the muscles. It can be an result of poor posture,  occupational hazard such as prolonged sitting,  excessive driving,  poor strength of muscles... You would really need to strengthen your back muscles so that they can take enough load and does not go into repetitive spasm and repetitive injury... Try doing some strengthening exercises as well as range of motion exercises to decrease the stiffness and increase the strength... For further inquiries you can mail me at                          dr. [email protected]
