Baby having high fever
My 14-month-old daughter has been suffering from high fever since yesterday- 101° + . What should be the correct way to handle it? Shall we do sponging? Any medication? We also have to travel today by train (AC compartment), will that be safe?

Paracetamol syrup and tepid sponging. Cover your child adequately but with enough ventilation also during the trip. May not be so easy to manage if a fever spike occurs, Could be a viral fever also . For any queries, book an online consultation with me. I am a lactation consultant, IYCF (Infant and Young Child Feeding) nutrition expert with an interest in Childhood Infections and Vaccinations. Take care!
