My uncle's vitamin b12 is 269. His age is 70. He is fine. No pain and no other problem.
Doctor has prescribed MBSON-SL (1500 mcg) tab for 1 month.
Is this medicine actually required with 269 B12 level ? Is it ok if he doesn't take any b12 medicine ?

It is o.k., if he has no symptoms can do without tablet. His b12 levels are just borderline low of normal.
He should take breakfast cereals fortified with b12 regularly, fermented foods, sprouts, curds cheese, eggs and if takes non veg products, he can take fish, meat.
