B-12 Test, Hosit tablet for deficiency
For B-12 deficiency, best Tablet that absorbs. Specifically asking for Tablet Hosit (Methylcobalmin, folic acid and B6) I want tablet with B-12 , Folic acid and B6 specifically the best brand / tablet that absorbs and increases the value on the Serum B-12 test. (No Injection , Only Tablet. ) Also serum B-12 / Active B-12 (test) is there,So which one is more accurate in detecting actual B-12 status? (as active test, holotranscobalmin is considered more accurate since it measures the B-12 in cells, not just serum B-12)

For B12 deficiency, the best oral formulation is one containing Methylcobalamin (1500 mcg) + Folic Acid (1.5 mg) + Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6 = 3 mg) — this combination ensures optimal absorption and nerve protection. Among brands, Nurokind Plus, Neurobion Forte, or Hosit are reliable and well-absorbed options when taken daily after meals for at least 3 months. For testing, Active B12 (Holotranscobalamin) is indeed more accurate than serum B12 because it reflects the amount of B12 available to tissues. If your deficiency is significant or you have persistent fatigue, tingling, or neurological symptoms, I’d recommend a personalized plan with dose adjustment and dietary guidance. There is a huge plethora of Pharma Companies making Vit B 12 preparations. Under the circumstances it is impossible to pin point the "best brand". All that you need is that the preparation should have 1500 mcg Vit B 12. If you just want to treat yourself then Vit B 12 level is good enough as an investigation. For research purposes one patient is not good enough. You can join hands with a Research Team in a Medical College and get multiple tests done (free of cost ). But not much improvement in the treatment part can be achieved.

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. I understand your concern. Vitamin B12 deficiency is very common, and you are right — the tablet must have good absorption and a combination of B12, folic acid, and B6 for it to reflect improvement on your serum levels. ✅ Advices • The most reliable oral formulation is Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg + Folic acid 1.5 mg + Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) 3 mg. This combination ensures better nerve and cellular absorption. • Among available brands, Hosit Tablet, Nurokind-OD Tablet, and Neurobion Plus Tablet are the most effective and well-absorbed oral options. • Take one tablet daily after breakfast for at least 3 months. For better absorption, avoid tea, coffee, or alcohol for one hour after taking it. What to Monitor • Improvement in energy levels, focus, and reduction in tingling or numbness in fingers and feet. • Repeat Vitamin B12 blood test after 3 months to check progress. Management You can continue Hosit Tablet safely as it contains all three essential components — Methylcobalamin, Folic acid, and Vitamin B6 — in an easily absorbable form. Among the two tests, Active B12 (Holotranscobalamin) is indeed more accurate because it reflects the amount of Vitamin B12 actually available for cellular use, while Serum B12 measures total B12, which includes inactive forms as well. If available, choose Active B12 test for a better reflection of your true vitamin status. When to Consult a Doctor Immediately • Persistent numbness, weakness, or balance issues • Poor concentration or mood changes despite treatment • No improvement in Vitamin B12 levels after 3 months of therapy Every patient’s situation is unique. For accurate diagnosis and lasting recovery, it is important to discuss your medical history and reports in detail. 👉 You can reach out to me directly for this case, and also connect with me in future for any medical consultation. I am available on Practo or on WhatsApp at 85271646seven seven for a one-on-one consultation, where you will receive: A personalized treatment plan Safe medicine adjustments if required Quick follow-ups to track your recovery Take care, wishing you good health. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician

Yes, Hosit tablet (Methylcobalamin, Folic acid, and B6) is a good choice for B12 deficiency and absorbs well orally. Take one tablet daily after dinner for 2 months. Among tests, Active B12 (Holotranscobalamin) is more accurate for assessing true B12 status. Please consult me online to review your reports and adjust treatment if needed.
