Ayurveda for sure have benefits but what allopathic doctor prescribes is based on what it is called EVIDENCE BASED MEDICINE meaning the drug went through detailed research and trails before reaching a patient and it sure have medical benefits which was not done for Ayurveda medicine and also there have been no research what happens with the combination of two... By the way you have not mentioned what drugs you were taking for your hypertension and what side effects you observed?

Sometimes ayurvedic medications can cause allergic reaction. Better take any one of the drug, for better treatment go with allopathy, if you have any side effects consult your treating doctor for drug change .
