Atomoxetine is a NRI - Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor. Primarily it is FDA approved for its use in ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). It works by increasing norepinephrine in one’s brain. Basically norepinephrine is a neurotransmitter associated with sympathetic activation and is commonly associated with the basic function of “fight and flight”. Having said so, it has its own unique brain pathways where it works on impacting an individual’s mood, actions and behaviour. Atomoxetine is generally an activating molecule and is preferred in morning or afternoon dosing rather than night dosing given it can hamper routine sleep cycle. It helps in improving cognitive function of an individual and also used as augmenting agent in depression. It has no independent action on inducing sleep but if given along with other primary antidepressants, it may help reduce sleep disturbances by reducing pathophysiology of depression in which insomnia or hypersomnia could be presenting symptoms.

Yes it makes u feel tired or sleep in some case do you have adhd Use art or other therapies instead of medicine first and see Art baby art or music Don’t make your heart full of rubbish Anyway u need to take a call Medicines or art therapies

Primarily it helps with attention. Some people might feel drowsy on taking it. However if you are taking it for sleep then it is not recommended.
