Yes, Atomoxetine can cause urinary hesitancy or urine retention as a less common side effect. It happens because it increases norepinephrine activity, which can tighten the bladder neck and make passing urine difficult in some people. Symptoms may include weak urine stream, difficulty starting urination, incomplete emptying, or reduced urine flow. However, not everyone gets this side effect, and other causes should also be considered, such as dehydration, anxiety, urinary infection, prostate-related issues, constipation, or use of other medicines with anticholinergic effects. If the problem started after beginning atomoxetine or after dose increase, the medicine may be contributing. If there is severe retention, pain, inability to pass urine, fever, or abdominal swelling, medical review is needed urgently. Sometimes dose reduction or changing medication helps. For consultation, u can directly msg on nine nine three one zero four five zero zero eight.
