Any tests before Joining gym
I have not been doing much physical activity in the last 5-6 years. It has resulted in me getting out of shape now. I want to join a gym to get back in shape. Are there any medical tests that I need to take before joining the gym or any work-out?

Most of the Gym do follow a basic screening test depending on the activities you are planning. If your plan is moderate activities record your vital signs, BMI ,get a baseline ECG and hemoglobin level.

Hi dear As such if u have been fit u don't need to do any sort of tests before joining the gym although I think people in big gymming companies do take few tests now a days by themselves if u want to join. If at all you have been having any complaints or if u have any family history of a certain medical illness then it's better to evaluate yourself before doing vigorous exercise. Kindly consult so we can discuss everything in detail and I can guide u accordingly Take care

Patient's detailed medical history is required. It is recommended to consult a doctor professional through the Practo app or visit a local medical facility for a thorough evaluation. Please keep in mind that detailed medical history is crucial for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Before joining a gym, consider a basic health checkup. Tests may include a cardiovascular assessment, blood pressure measurement, and a discussion with a doctor to ensure you're physically ready for exercise. It's also wise to check cholesterol levels and blood sugar, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions. Always consult with a doctor for personalized advice based on your health status.
