Hi... Yes sometimes you may have withdrawal symptoms when you suddenly stop taking SSRIs.. you should gradually decrease and stop it. Consult your treating psychiatrist for dose adjustments.

Hello, you have been prescribed very low of Sentraline that helps maintain calm and mood uplifted, you shouldn’t abruptly stop your meds Kindly review back with your treating psychiatrist and as per the doctor’s advice you will be gradually asked to step down dosages over weeks and then stopped

Elesert 12.5 mg is the lowest possible dose. Infact it is subtherapeutic dose. Minimum 25 mg is therapeutic. But even if you were able to maintain well with 12.5 mg and after stopping you feel that the symptoms are coming back then you can continue with the dose. But again since it is the minimum possible dose you can stop at any time. Many times after you stop medication even if normal levels of anxiety comes back with daily stressors, the person who has suffered through the worst possible scenario with anxiety starts to anticipate the same and feels that what is now less may become a big problem tomorrow. If you are able to tolerate the symptoms and there is no dysfunctionality that is happening with the symptoms as they are at the current levels you can stop and continue with your life. But if you feel the symptoms are not tolerable you can start the medicines again. With the medicines I will advise you to buy some self help book based on CBT to monitor and handle your anxiety. Alternatively you can take some therapy sessions based on CBT for anxiety from professional. That will help you in long term.
Next Steps
I give online consultations and therapies.
