Anxiety memory loss, comprehension issue
Does anxiety cause persistent memory loss, inability to concentrate, problems with comprehension. I always have these problems and due to this getting frustrated, can't remember books, and can't clear exams . I am wondering if it is anxiety or depression. I don't think i have any of them and its difficult to believe its anxiety. I have met many doctors earlier who think it is anxiety ,but why is it persistent problem that is not resolving anytime . Kindly help me with the doubt so i may take further steps towards treatment.

first of all its important to understand the problem from all perspectives, that is from your perspective, from your familial perspective, from the perspective of your goals and immediate targets, from your social perspective so that we have a elaborate and detailed explanation and conceptualization of your problem which is not possible through this medium . the problems that you have been mentioning about can be categorized under many labels but in order to find the right solution to them, one needs to understand it from various accurate perspectives so that a multi dimensional solution encompassing of medication (if required), psychological and social measures are developed for you to counter your issues. perhaps one of the reasons why no measures have worked for you is cause they may had been limited or uni dimensional in nature. try getting fresh perspectives

Tremors, feeling anxious or nervous, sense of panic, sweating, increased heartbeat, feeling of impending doom, stomach discomfort, dizziness etc are signs of anxiety. These can be debilitating. If the anxiety is overwhelming, consult a Psychiatrist at the earliest. With the right medication and counseling, it is likely your symptoms will improve.

Anxiety is a feeling of nervousness, unease, or worry that typically occurs in the absence of an imminent threat and it may also interfere with your daily routines making you feel abnormal and helpless One in four ( random assumption) people are found to be facing anxiety at some stage of life and those who make efforts and reach out help do come out of it Don't worry , though this condition must be making you feel terrible but you will be normal soon . Treatment You are too weak mentally to make  strong efforts to come out. That is the reason you should seek help of therapist or counselor . They do wonderful job in this field , they have different therapies ( non medicine) which will heal you Self-treatment Physical activity, ( exercise releases endorphins , they generate a happy feeling in your body  and exercise also slows the production of stress generating hormone) A healthy diet,( amino 3 fatty acid , walnuts, avacado , dark leafy greens) Regular sleep and relaxation exercises may all help to reduce anxiety. Deep breathing helps your blood cells getting oxygenated well . Joining a support group may also help. To manage symptoms effectively, it's best to avoid caffeine, alcohol and nicotine. Hi, Yes there are high chances that anxiety and depression both can cause memory issues. But it is necessary for you to tell us the associated symptoms so that we can differentiate between them. With anxiety you might experience certain physical symptoms like sweating, breathlessness, shivering etc. With depression you will experience sadness, decreased desire to work and talk to people. There are many more symptoms which are variable.
Next Steps
You should consult a psychiatrist and discuss it in detail.
