propranolol might cause slower heart rate but its effect on BP is very minimal. palpitations might be part of your anxiety itself. don't worry about medication and take them. it will help you
Next Steps
if you feel more dizzy and feel slower heart rates consult your doctor immediately
Health Tips
remember 10mg twice daily is a very low dose. it will not cause any side effects.

You are overthinking about health and hence the concern . You have to trust your doctor for treatment. Either you decide or let the doctor decide. This over concern is also a part of your obsessive ruminations and problematic thought process.
Next Steps
consult a psychiatrist
