Hi You have intense fear of heights. Your mom having heart attack is causing you to worry about your health. You are also experiencing side effect of medication and you are afraid to take medication. I suggest you consult a psychiatrist and explain about side effect of medication. A psychiatrist will guide you on medication and he/ she can help you overcome fear of medicine. Also consult a psychologist and explain about fear of heights or Acrophobia and the anxious thoughts you have about your health. With a psychologist you can also talk about fear of taking medicine. A psychologist will help you overcome fear of heights. A psychologist will also help you manage anxiety that will enable you to sleep well at night. I understand you are feeling extremely anxious. Seeking help from a psychiatrist and psychologist will help you feel better.
Next Steps
Consult a psychiatrist and psychologist.

Hi , Consult a Psychologist you will definitely benefit , as there are many types of therapy that are suitable for addressing panic attacks and in understanding the underlying issues. Cognitive behavioral therapy, for example, can help you by teaching you different ways of thinking, behaving, and reacting to the feelings that happen during or before a panic attack. This will help you manage to prevent attacks and reduce their severity. Once you learn these skills, you can practice them on your own Medicine is useful at treating the symptoms of a panic attack, on a temporary basis because medication cannot treat what is causing you to experience the panic so medication cannot be the only form of treatment.

Hi.. You have consulted a Psychiatrist, who prescribed you medication. Panic attacks typically require a combination of medication and psychotherapy both. The primary cause in most cases is psychosocial which needs to be properly identified and addressed during the course of therapy. The use of medications is basically to suppress the symptoms neurochemically to help the client have some relief. But again if we do that unnecessarily it is bound to cause some other problems, like in your case. I would suggest you to take proper therapeutic treatment to address the root cause of your anxiety and panic.
Next Steps
Consult a Psychologist. CBT along with Lifestyle Changes and Interpersonal Guidance and Counselling is required.

Hi  Psychotherapy is considered an effective first choice treatment for panic attacks, you need to consult with mental health care professionals for learning emotional management skills and resources skills to deal with your fears & unconscious worry of getting a panic attack(along with resolving its root cause). Also follow the advice of a psychiatrist, both medicine and psychotherapy  will support you. Panic disorder is highly treatable.
