Anus irritation
I have constipation, lower abdomen bloating and gas, and dry skin all over my body for over 3 months. About 10 days back, i got to know that i have hypothyroidism. I have started medication for the same. My question is, does anus also get dry? I do not have any pain or itching in the anal region. But i have mild discomfort in the anus. The discomfort feels like the hair in the anus is being pulled. When i apply a gel such as a petroleum jelly or Lox gel around the anus, i feel better, and the discomfort stops. But when i wash and dry the anus, the discomfort starts again. Can anyone tell me what this is? I am too embarrassed to meet a doctor, hence seeking advise here.

Firstly increase your water intake, secondly take stool softeners and pls visit a general surgeon in your area as there is nothing to be embarrassed about but if the problem increases that will create much more complications in near future .
