Most likely you are suffering from Acute anal fissure with Sentinel tag. Anal Fissure can be conveniently treated by Graded Kshar Karma treatment. In this treatment; a specific medicine is applied at the fissure region. This medicine debrides the fissure and induces healing. Fissure heals completely in 4-5 weekly Kshar Karma sittings. For sentinel tag; Ksharsutra ligation of tag is treatment of choice. In this treatment; Ksharsutra - a medicated thread will be ligated at root of Sentinel tag. Medicine released from Ksharsutra blocks blood supply of tag and it will shed off in a week or 10 days period. No hospitalization or bed rest is required in this treatment. In the mean time; you should start taking Sitz bath (Hot water tub bath) 2-3 times twice daily followed by application of some soothing and healing ointment like Sushruta ointment/ Coconut oil/ Cow's ghee. Take some stool softening Ayurvedic medicine like Sushruta Churna/ Haritaki Churna. For further support and appointment please call reception at Sushruta Ano Rectal Institute.
