Anal fissure
I am mother of 2 months old baby. I have fissure since 6 months. Though I use duphalac 15 ml daily since 6 months fissure is not completely cured. Once in a while it repeats and then I used to take 30 ml duphalac that day and bleeding used to stop. But from past 2 weeks continuous bleeding and pain though I take 30 ml and make dietary changes. Can I increase dosage to 40 ml? Please suggest

Duphalac causes osmotic diarrhoea. It is generally used in hepatic encephalopathy. It can also be used in constipation. For anal fissure follow these: 1.Dietary Changes: Increase fiber intake through fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to soften stools. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated. 2.Stool Softeners: Over-the-counter stool softeners can help make bowel movements less painful. 3.Warm Sitz Baths: Soaking the anal area in warm water for 10-15 minutes several times a day can promote healing and reduce pain For detailed discussion connect via practo video consult. Mam dhuphlac is not a medicine for fissure. It's remove constipation. Prevent hard stool so fissure will not agrevate. You must take plenty of liquid n water sakes lamonade buttermilk coconut water, etc with two big bowl of salad with high fibre diet, fruits. Treatment. Locally apply, Anovate, shield, oxyurate any one in anus with index finger two times a day for two to three weeks. Throw out applicator. Fissure is your diagnosis, u have not mentioned the complaints Like Pain, hard stool off n on, blood drop by drop after stool. Or with stool so I don't know. Cream definitely help. Ointment to take on index finger before defication first apply on butthole than gently push inside anus n rotate the finger so anul verge is filled with oint helps smooth passage for stool. After defication clean the part n apply again. Same to repeat in evening session.
