ANA Test Positive
My wife recently underwent ANA test and it came positive. Primary & End point titre: 1:100 Intensity : 1+ (Minimum fluorescence) Pattern: Nuclear Speckled Symptoms: Only hair loss Can anyone please interpret this report? Is this associated with autoimmune disorder. Other test like CBC, ESR, thyroid profile, LFT, KFT are normal.

ANA 1 + speckled is normally positive in 20-30 percent of normal individuals without any evidence of autoimmune diseases. The main cause for excessive hair loss is iron and folic acid deficiency in India. Consult a Rheumatologist if things persists or increases. Thanks
