Viral fever
Suffering from viral from last 5 days ...did a fever panel to rule out dengue n typhoid ...they are negative but my platelet is down to 110 and tlc is 2.4 ...also report says there is Leucopenia ...should I be concerned or is it normal to experience this during viral fever

Good morning, as you mentioned here that you are suffering from viral infection form past 5 days, but negative for dengue and typhoid.
As per your blood reports your Platelet count is low along with low total leucocyte count. So here what you can do is REPEAT THESE TESTS AFTER 2-3 DAYS, As this might be due to viral infection suppressing your bone marrow, in that case it has to return back to normal once your infection subsides.
But if you are having LOW PLATELE COUNT AND LOW TLC (LEUCOPENIA) FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME, then it indicates
- Chronic infection
- Any disorders in Bone Marrow
- Any Medicines if you are taking which is affecting bone marrow,
- Autoimmune disorders
- Even Cancer,
So it is important to know the underlying condition if you are having low Platele count and low tlc count from a long time.
It is important to look for any bleeding tendencies, how often you get fatigued, your bone density, and to evaluate for serology. So it will be better if you consult if your blood reports shows same or decreased values in future.

Leukopenia is absolutely normal during a viral fever.
No need to worry, dengue Ns1 or IgM usually test positive after 3-4 days of infection.
Ur platelet is a bit on the low normal side.
If ur are experinecing amy symptoms of dengue, like intense bone pain or petechial rashes on body, then get tested for IgM on 7th day.
If not, then absolutely not to worry, as viral fever can last anywhere from 3 to 12 days.
