Typhoid Fever
Suffering from fever from last 3 days and after getting tested typhoid is positive. Fever reaches 103.5 and after taking dolo 650mg it reduces to 101. Lot of weakness and joint pain. Dr has suggested Taxim OF having 2 salt(Cefixime-200 and Oflaxacin-200) for 5 days.
Please suggest.

In typhoid the fever usually fluctuates in the same manner as you are having just need to take fever medications like paracetamol 650mg 6hourly and possibly prefer IV ceftriaxone 1gm twice daily for 3 days and then switch to oral tablets of cefixime 500mg twice daily for 3 days and take rest mostly typhoid will be cured
