TSH test done

I have done TSH (thyroid) test and it is 5.86. it is alarming. Do I have to go for medication for thyroid

Based on TSH you do not require medication as of now..... It would have been better if you have posted your t3 and t4 values also... If t3 and t4 levels are also normal then you need not have to worry about it. Dietary changes and proper exercise I will take care of TSH. If you are having any symptoms of hypothyroidism then you may need medication. Repeat your thyroid function test after 3 months to see if there is any e increase in TSH levels. If it's normal then you need not have to worry at all Hope all your questions got answered
