Sharp pain in calf muscle (reply)

2020-09-13 18:46:26
No heavy exercise or jumping or extreme walking. But only sharp pain on sides on calf muscles was observed suddenly and hurt a lot when walking or even standing. But as suggested by various doctors ice pack treatment did work to a great extent. Also a little easy stretching exercises are being done. Now there is reduction in pain and less strain. Thank you all doctors for your kind observations & suggestions!

Few more recommendations : - foam roll the calf muscles and the arch of the foot - use of proper footwear to ensure good walking mechanics - drink adequate fluids and electrolytes (deficiency can lead to cramps and pain) - light strengthening for calf to develop muscle endurance
