hello, you need to consult an oral surgeon. The wisdom tooth does appear like its overlapping the nerve in the xray. However the OPG x-ray is a 2 dimensional flat image and can be misleading. Get it done from an oral surgeon.

It can be removed. But extraction from an experienced dentist or oral surgeon will be advised. there will be no problem.

It's a 2D image and it's not 100% accurate , you can get the extraction done but from an oral surgeon.

From the OPG, we can see that the nerve is actually passing between the roots of the third molars. We have done so many cases like what we see now in the past. There shouldn't be any problem removing the impacted tooth.

The best investigation in such cases is a 3 d scan of the region which will give you a perfect idea. If the scan reveals a true overlap of the tooth you could consider a coronectomy procedure as opposed to the complete removal of the tooth.
